New library thrills at Knox Park
Knox Park Primary School recently invited its school community to
explore the new $2 million library and library neighbourhood
delivered as a part of the Building the Education Revolution (BER)
program.
Acting Principal Kim Flower was thrilled to see students, teachers
and guests exploring the indoor and outdoor learning spaces of the
recently completed building.
“Our entire school community, and indeed the local community, is
extremely excited about the completion of our BER project,” Mrs
Flower said.
“People were in awe of the building and could see what a fantastic
addition it was going to be for Knox Park Primary and for the future
learning of all students.”
“They were amazed with the spacious areas, the technology involved
in the building, the environmental benefits it provided and the
overall learning opportunities it afforded.”
Not only will the new facility benefit the students and teachers but
a local environment group has already been in conversation with the
school about using the building for meetings and to further develop
their profile in the local community.
Knox Park Primary also received funding for a new Covered Outdoor
Learning Area under the National School Pride program of the
Building the Education Revolution.
