Round One funding rolls out to schools

Round One of the $1.3 billion National School
Pride program has been announced with 5,965
Australian schools set to receive $828.16 million in
funding for minor infrastructure and refurbishment
projects.
Round One funds 8,663 projects in eligible
schools across Australia. A variety of projects in
this first round have been funded including the
refurbishment of playing fields, construction of
outdoor shaded areas, repairs to roofs and gutters,
installation of water tanks and insulation and
upgrading of canteens and kitchens.
Construction and maintenance work will commence
as soon as possible, with many of the National
School Pride projects planned to begin this month.
