The Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Government Service Delivery, Senator the Hon Mark Arbib, yesterday officially opened the first completed Primary Schools for the 21st Century project under the Building the Education Revolution (BER) at Yandina State School, Queensland.

Yandina State School received $2 million in funding under the Primary Schools for the 21st Century element of the BER to build a resource centre, including science technology and multimedia rooms, and a covered stage and assembly area.

Senator Arbib thanked School Principal Mr Wayne Torrens, teachers, parents and the tradespeople who worked together to deliver these important projects.

“Now that these fantastic facilities are finished, teachers and students have the new facilities that they so richly deserve,” said Senator Arbib.
