New facilities for One Mile State School, QLD

One Mile State School this week officially celebrated the opening of
new facilities built with funding provided under the Nation
Building-Economic Stimulus Plan.
Built in 1869, One Mile State School is located in the city of
Gympie in Queensland.
The primary school received $200,000 under the National School Pride
program for refurbishment work with another $1,426,859 provided
under the Primary Schools for the 21st Century element of the
Building the Education Revolution for the construction of a new
Library and another $1,573,142 under the same program for the
construction of a new multi-purpose school hall.
The new facilities have provided the school with a more spacious and
modern learning environment for its students from prep to Year 7.
