Friday, 10 July 2009
Under the Building the Education Revolution (BER) Program,
Clovelly Park Primary School in South Australia has received $2.5
million in funding for refurbishment and construction works.
Construction of a new school hall is set to commence soon,
providing students with access to a facility that will enhance the
school’s Physical Education program.
The hall also features a performance area, kitchenette and
toilets, and it is anticipated that it will also be made available
for community use in the future.
Classroom refurbishment works are also scheduled at the school.
These refurbishments will provide students and teachers with an
environment that allows greater flexibility and creativity,
reflecting their diverse learning needs.
As a direct result of the BER Primary Schools for the 21st
Century Program funding, the building contractor carrying out the
works at Clovelly Park Primary School, and two other local primary
schools, has been able to employ an additional nine employees. Ten
trainees will also be involved in the works.
