Building the Education Revolution boost for Snug Primary, Tasmania

Snug Primary, located in Snug; a small coastal town on the Channel
Highway 30 kilometres south of Hobart, is celebrating its new school
facilities provided under the Nation Building-Economic Stimulus
Plan.
Snug Primary was provided $125,000 in funding under the National
School Pride Program for refurbishment of an outdoor learning and
playground and another $1.9 million under the Primary Schools for
the 21st Century element of the Building the Education Revolution
for the construction of a new multipurpose hall.
Speaking at the official opening of the joint State and Australian
Government-funded project, Member for Franklin, David O’Byrne, said
that the redevelopment featured the four general learning areas, a
kindergarten facility, a library and administration facilities.
Mr O’Byrne said that the impact of the redevelopment would be
significant on the motivation and learning of students.
