Construction begins at Balgowlah North and Seaforth Public Schools, NSW

Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Government Service
Delivery, the Hon Mark Arbib, has welcomed the start of construction
of Building the Education Revolution projects at two schools in
Sydney’s north.
Senator Arbib recently joined school representatives and
construction company Bovis Lendlease at a sod-turning ceremony to
mark the start of construction on a new multi-purpose hall and
library at Balgowlah North Public School and a new multi-purpose
hall and classroom upgrade at Seaforth Public School.
Both schools received $3 million under the Primary Schools for
the 21st Century element of the BER.
“School communities, parents and tradespeople will work together
to deliver these important projects that, once completed, will give
our teachers and students the 21st century facilities that they so
richly deserve,” Senator Arbib said.
Balgowlah North Public School has also received $200,000 under
the National School Pride program to repair and maintain school
infrastructure, while Seaforth Public School received $150,000 to
carry out roof repairs, structural and building fabric upgrades as
well as carpeting and painting.
