St. Andrew’s Grammar, Perth welcomes new additions

Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Government Service Delivery, the Hon Mark Arbib, has welcomed the start of construction of Building the Education Revolution projects at two schools in Sydney’s north.

Senator Arbib recently joined school representatives and construction company Bovis Lendlease at a sod-turning ceremony to mark the start of construction on a new multi-purpose hall and library at Balgowlah North Public School and a new multi-purpose hall and classroom upgrade at Seaforth Public School.

Both schools received $3 million under the Primary Schools for the 21st Century element of the BER.

“School communities, parents and tradespeople will work together to deliver these important projects that, once completed, will give our teachers and students the 21st century facilities that they so richly deserve,” Senator Arbib said.

Balgowlah North Public School has also received $200,000 under the National School Pride program to repair and maintain school infrastructure, while Seaforth Public School received $150,000 to carry out roof repairs, structural and building fabric upgrades as well as carpeting and painting.
