Tenders called for construction of Bulahdelah Bypass, NSW
Thursday, 15 October 2009
Tenders have now been called for the construction of the
Bulahdelah Bypass on the Pacific Highway, New South Wales.
When finished, motorists will, for the first time, be able to
drive on a four lane road all the way from the F3 Freeway to Port
Macquarie.
The new 8.6 kilometre four-lane bypass will replace the existing
single carriageway running through the township of Bulahdelah.
The new bypass will deliver safer driving conditions, shorter
travel times, and take a high volume of heavy vehicles off the local
streets of Bulahdelah.
The successful contractor will be responsible for building the
bypass, including 12 bridges, drainage ways, noise and retaining
walls, signposting and landscaping.
Major construction on the project will begin in 2010.
