Deputy Prime Minister visits new facilities at Bellaire Primary School in Highton, Victoria

The Hon Julia Gillard MP, this week visited Bellaire Primary
School in Highton, Victoria to see the progress of the school's
Building the Education Revolution (BER) projects.
Under BER, Bellaire Primary School received $200,000 National
School Pride (NSP) funding for minor refurbishments, and $3 million
under Primary Schools for the 21st Century (P21) for a new learning
centre.
The Deputy Prime Minister was joined by Member for Corangamite,
Darren Cheeseman, and Member for Corio, Richard Marles for a
Question and Answer session with Bellaire’s senior students before
inspecting the building site and the plans for the new learning
centre.
Bellaire Primary School's new learning centre will provide
additional facilities to the school and wider community.
Bellaire Primary School is one of 2,280 schools in Victoria to
receive over $3.8 billion in funding under the BER program.
