Funding delivered to 3,496 schools

The Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon Julia Gillard, today announced that 4,513 projects across 3,496 schools will receive over $439 million in funding under Round Two of the National School Pride (NSP) program.
Together with Round One, the total amount of funding under the NSP program is $1.3 billion. This funding will assist 9,490 schools to deliver a world-class education to meet the needs of today’s students and teachers, while providing immediate support for local jobs.
This is the final round of funding for the NSP program. There are still two rounds of funding for Primary Schools for the 21st Century and a single round for Science and Language Centres available to schools.
