New facilities opened at Helidon State School, Queensland

Helidon State School, located in the Lockyer Valley region of south
east Queensland, has officially opened their new multipurpose hall
and library. The newly opened facilities were built using funds
provided under the Nation Building-Economic Stimulus Plan.
The 110 student co-educational school received $850,000 under the
Primary Schools for the 21st Century element of the Australian
Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER) to build the
new multipurpose hall and library and another $75,000 under the
National School Pride program for refurbishment work including a new
covered outdoor learning area, technology enhancement and verandah
upgrade.
