Friday, 23 April 2010

New Lambton South Public School located in New Lambton, Newcastle received $2.5million under the Nation Building-Economic Stimulus to build a new multipurpose hall and covered outdoor learning area.

School Principal Gail Cornford and seven of the eight school captains and leaders recently welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard to the school to tour the building site of their nearly complete new hall.

The new hall and covered outdoor learning area are being constructed with funding from the Primary Schools for the 21st Century component of the Building the Education Revolution.

These projects are in addition to $150,000 in funding provided to New Lambton South for minor refurbishments under the National School Pride Program.
