Townsville Defence housing constructions on track

The construction of new Defence homes in Townsville, North Queensland, is
progressing ahead of schedule.
Local builders have commenced construction on 80 houses, while a
further 53 houses are in the design, development and approval stage.
A total of ten houses funded by the Nation Building – Economic
Stimulus Plan have already been completed, almost three months ahead
of schedule.
The houses are a mix of three and four bedroom homes, and contain
modern amenities including double garages, large living spaces,
naturally landscaped gardens, and functional outdoor areas.
