Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Government Service Delivery, Senator the Hon Mark Arbib, recently inspected construction work at Canterbury College, a Prep to Year 12 School in Waterford, Queensland.

As part of the Primary Schools for the 21st Century component of the Building the Education Revolution, Canterbury College will receive $3 million to construct a new multipurpose hall.

The new hall includes provision for volleyball and netball courts, a large stage for performing arts, a mezzanine floor for indoor activities, change rooms and storage spaces.

As well as the new multipurpose hall, the school’s 1,350 students will also benefit from a $1.97 million new science centre under Science and Language Centres for 21st Century Secondary Schools, and $200,000 under the National School Pride program for refurbishments to the library and music rooms.
