Building-Economic-Stimulus Plan.
The eight new homes have injected $2.17 million into the local
economy with the builders, Orbit Homes, hiring local sub-contractors
where they could.
Defence Housing Australia received $245.58 million as part of the
Nation Building-Economic Stimulus Plan to build Defence homes
throughout Australia. As part of this plan $16.8 million was
allocated to Victoria to build 62 new homes.
All 829 homes are expected to be complete in March 2011.
