School projects funded by the Nation Building – Economic Stimulus
Plan continue to make progress on the ground in South Australia.
Building contractors SJS Commercial have commenced works for the
construction of a new hall at Paringa Park Primary School.
As part of the Primary Schools for the 21st Century component of
the Building the Education Revolution, the School will receive $1.85
million to construct the hall.
“We are really excited to have received funding under the
Economic Stimulus Plan for this new hall,” said Ms Dianne Atwa,
Principal of Paringa Park Primary School.
“The new hall will provide students at Paringa Park Primary
School with a new state of the art 21st Century learning facility
along with a place for sporting clubs and local community groups to
hold events and training courses.”
The hall will also enable the school to gather as a whole
community for physical education, cultural events and performances.
SJS Commercial Business Manager, Mr Chris Went, said the
additional work has been great for business.
“As a result of the extra work we have managed to keep our top
staff busy through the slow period and employed two trainees for the
program.
“The flow on effect is already being seen by subcontractors, some
of which we have had to assist with employing trainees and
apprentices in anticipation of the increased workload due to round
three allocations” said Mr Went.
