The Progress Report provides a first quarter analysis of the

Senator Arbib announced that the Plan was so far progressing very
well with activity to date meeting both the Government’s objectives
in cushioning Australia from the effects of the global downturn, and
the community’s expectations.
In just five months, 33,000 projects have been approved, more
than 14,000 have commenced and more than 370 projects are complete
as part of the Plan. More than $18 billion worth of funds have been

The Report notes the effectiveness of the Plan so far, along with
trends and issues identified during the implementation phase.
