A new outdoor sports and recreation area in North Turramurra, an upgrade to Manly’s Ocean Beach Promenade, and a new multipurpose sports facility in Mosman are among the community infrastructure projects announced in Sydney yesterday under the Government’s Economic Stimulus Plan.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Government Service Delivery, Senator Mark Arbib, announced more than $6 million would be allocated for the three projects, as he toured the sites reviewing the intended plans with local Mayors.

This funding, part of the Government’s $800 million Community Infrastructure Program, will fund more than 3,000 community infrastructure projects across Australia – supporting jobs, stimulating local economies and delivering long-term benefits for communities.
