The Nation Building – Economic Stimulus Plan (the Plan) was a key component of the Government’s response to the global financial crisis. By 30 June 2011, two and a half years since its inception, close to 50,000 building and construction projects were undertaken to stimulate the economy, support jobs and invest in infrastructure.
